`Retro European' theme

Chefs recreate their vintage favourites

Culinary event Food with Benefits was held on May 31 with a `Retro European' theme and six star chefs showcasing their vintage favourites, all in favour of a good cause.
Hosted by Chef Viraf Patel at CafĂ© Zoe in Lower Parel, the fundraising six-course dinner was paired with O' Smart Natural Mixers. The guests were all praises for the newly launched O'Smart Natural Soda, which is said to have zero calories and added minerals. It's crafted with soft water, which smoothly blends into your drink without altering its taste. Viraf says, “The brand stands by its belief -to drink smart, You need to mix smart.“

Jeevan Verma (Director, O' Beverages) says, “Our products are crafted with specially chosen natural ingredients that mix well with drink recipes without diluting them.

We believe that to drink smart, you need to mix smart. We are happy to be associated with a cause.“

Nachiket Shetye (Chef and Director, Cellar Door Hospitality, the company behind the event) adds, “Food With Benefits is not only an event that raises charity for a noble cause, but also builds and fosters a culinary community that comes together for a common belief. We are happy to partner with the brand as they share the same belief that natural, finest ingredients make up an exquisite product. This is the event's seventh edition and a dear one in particular as for the first time, we raised funds for an animal welfare organisation.“

This year's star-studded chef lineup included some of the most popular names in India's culinary world -Viraf, Pooja Dhingra, Alex Sanchez, Rahul Akerkar, Gresham Fernandes and Prateek Sadhu. All proceeds from the event went towards Janice's Trust, a centre for animal rescue, treatment and welfare.
